The JU School of Nursing doctoral program offers a post-Master’s DNP as well as a BSN to DNP for candidates interested in pursuing nurse practitioner certification.

Post-Master of Science in Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice — Designed to accommodate the schedules and individual interests of practicing RNs, advanced practice nurses, nurse administrators, and educators. The program features two tracks:

  • Advanced Practice Track, designed for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, such as nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists and clinical nurse specialists.
  • Leadership Track, focused on executive-level skills and is suited for RNs and ARNPs working within health care systems in areas such as education and administration.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing to Doctor of Nursing Practice — Offered in two cognates with fall semester enrollment for RNs with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.

  • BSN to DNP/Family Nurse Practitioner Cognate, designed for RNs seeking careers in advanced practice specialties, with a clinical focus on individuals and populations. Students will complete FNP license requirements at the completion of their degree
  • BSN to DNP/Leadership Cognate, designed for RNs who wish to pursue leadership roles within nursing systems and organizations. The Leadership program is offered in either educational or executive leadership tracks.

The Master of Science program in Health Informatics is seeking CAHIM accreditation

The School of Orthodontics Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthodontics is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

All programs except the Master of Science in Kinesiological Sciences are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The MS Kinesiological Sciences program is pending approval by SACSCOC.
